The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and Department for International Trade have been merged, along with elements of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, to create (1) the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (Secretary of State: Grant Shapps), (2) the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (Secretary of State: Michelle Donelan) and (3) the Department for Business and Trade (Secretary of State: Kemi Badenoch). The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport has also dropped the Digital from its remit under new Secretary of State Lucy Frazer.
